Sinclair Harding

Catalog Description:

A Sinclair Harding longcase clock dating from 1982. Like all their clocks this is entirely hand made even down to the gold-plated hand made screws used in the hinges. The case is made of Honduras Mahogany. The stringing line is box wood. The trunk has a bevelled glass door to show the three descending weights and the gently swinging pendulum. The eight day movement is weight driven and has three trains with Westminster or Whittington chimes on eight bells every quarter, with the hour struck on a ninth bell. There is a rolling moon in the arch of the dial. The clock is twenty years old and a tribute to its one previous owner who has kept it in superb condition. The movement is about to be serviced by the Sinclair Harding workshop. The case of the clock and the dial are in outstanding condition. This type of longcase clock is still made by Sinclair Harding. The present cost is $16,800.
