Chauncey Jerome

Catalog Description:

American Steeple Clock, Chauncey Jerome, c. 1850 Chauncey Jerome Co., New Haven, Connecticut; rosewood veneer case, painted dial; 30 hour movement, colorful lower door glass with American Eagle and E PLUIBUS UNUM motto. Excellent condition; clean and running well. 20 inches tall by 10 inches wide at the base. Additional Dealer Comments: The painted dial is original, the hands are original, the movement (stamped with the Jerome name) is original, the wood veneer is nearly perfect, the clock runs perfectly and strikes correctly during its 30-hour run, the paper label inside the clock has a few nicks and stains, but overll fine. The lower door glass is not original to the clock but is from an old design and is thin glass with an American Eagle on it and American Flags and the motto E PLUIBUS UNUM. This is a dandy and priced lower than most due to a good purchase agreement with its former owner.
