Catalog Description: C.1835, Henry Terry, Plymouth, Conn (invented by Eli Terry on label), short transitional shelf clock, with some restoration. The splat is a piece of mahogany and improper. The tablet was replaced maybe 50 years ago, as it is flaking again in several spots, and the putty is extremely hardae.has a decent look. Label with some tears but very legible; stenciling on columns weak but visible. If you have a friend with some old case parts, you might come up with a stenciled splat to replace this one, or check with Karen Larson. Best part of the clock is the absolutely fabulous dial-it may look new in photo, but it is original!! Height 29" Reserve $450 |
