Catalog Description: C.1860, English, Skeleton Clock, Chain Fusee, with fancy pierced and silvered dial. Although the dome is severely cracked, and is just a dust cover at this point, the clock itself is a well made item by Haycock of Ashbourne in Derbyshire. Refer to Royer-Collards Skeleton Clocks, page 58 for frame designs from Haycock"s pattern book, and following pages for details on this quality maker. This clock is mechanically sound and a good example of this maker's work. Clock ht, 13', w/ dome 15' |
