E Howard and Company Regulator No. 70

Catalog Description:

C.1890, E. Howard and Co., Boston, Regulator No. 70, in walnut and in good original condition. The tie down for the pendulum is missing, pendulum buffed smooth and the tablet has been touched up from the rear; some flaking on dial. Despite these minor problems, the clock retains original dial, hands, weight, and finish on case. Pendulum stick is repaired with a brass scab. Note the movement bears No. 59, which is the same size as No. 70; it is not uncommon for this to occur when they were in a rush to fill an order. Also see burled walnut used on door and early pattern on bezel. Height 31 inches $1250-1750
