Catalog Description:

C.1890, French, Brass Form Cased Carriage clock in the shape of a continental lantern clock with bell on top, by E. Maurice and Co, Paris (movement signed and with number 12093). Charles Allix writes that this is "a very fine maker". This is a time and strike clock (note clock strikes on interior gong), clean, with new Swiss platform and running well. Note unusual cast brass dial with individual cartouche numerals; each side with arched beveled glass intact. Note: New Haven made a similar clock, about 15 percent smaller, called the "Adela". Height 10'
