Catalog Description: C.1890, French, Bronzed Spelter Figural clock of 2 young girls fresh from the orchard, with a basket of fruit, the girl on the left offering an apple to the girl in pigtails (with more fruit gathered in her skirt). With a good round French bell strike movement, nbr. 4229 and with matching number pendulum. The dial is black slate with gilded Roman numerals, and signed: A. Cauchie, Bernay. This is a very nice subject matter and with the statues in excellent condition. Height 23.3' |
