Catalog Description: C.1900, French, a 3-Piece Mantel Set, Silver and gold over spelter, and in good original condition. Much of the gold has been rubbed off (still traces), but most of the heavy silver plating is still intact. The case with the imprint of "Derry Silver Co.", a likely importer. The two urns feature a pair of cherubs each, all with brass horns in their hands, and a mythical bust behind them, center. The well made striking movement with the mark of Mougin. Height 16' |
