Catalog Description: C.1900, German "MONK' Alarm Clock in very good original condition. The gilded spelter case is made of two symmetrical halves that are screwed together, and the finish is dirty and worn. The monk retains his original paint (with wear); his right arm is hinged and with a cord going up to the alarm bell. A lever from the movement rings the bell and moves his arm at the same time, with the appearance that he is ringing the bell. With a perfect porcelain dial, One day pendulette movement lacks loop on time winder; we swapped keys to make sure it runs; alarms, but needs adjusting.
