Catalog Description: C.1910, German, Animated Alarm Clock, the Boot Polisher and shoe repairman in good original condition. A few years ago, a bunch of these shoe repairmen (with double animation) came into the US from China, having been converted from regular alarm clocks. This particular clock has single animation, the boy on the left brushing a boot with broad strokes. The case with repairs and evidence of straightening; polished to brass. The dial itself is in excellent original condition, with minor discoloration to the left of 9. Height (handle up) 7" $600-800 |
