Antique Waterbury Clock Company "Calendar No. 25" Model Clock Price Type: auction |
|
Catalog Description: C.1910, Waterbury "Calendar No. 25' in oak, variant? This model as pictured in Waterbury"s literature is very fancy with trim pieces at both top and bottom of door, both front and back. However, this clock definitely retains its original finish with nice patina, and there is NO evidence that subject pieces were ever glued/nailed/or pegged on, nor evidence of a top being attached. The bottom board has been knocked of 2 or 3 times by broken weight cord, and is cracked, but no evidence of bottom gallery. Plus the original black/gold model No.25 label is still intact. (+ instruction sheet is loose inside) Has good 2-weight trapezoid movement, and original dials, rollers and hands. Could this have been a contract model for a school or hospital needing the accuracy of a perpetual weight calendar without the expense of a fancy case? Is it worth half a regular model? Height 35' |
