Catalog Description:

C.1920, English, Clerke, Maker to the Admiralty, 1 Royal Exchange, London, a well made 20th century chronometer. The movement, serial number 1710, with gold hands, compensating balance, helical hairspring and interesting detent, in a mahogany box with double lids and handles intact. Although this clock runs fine, the dial has some oxidation spots and it could stand cleaning. Also gimbal has a bind in it; box with different number, 1220. Height 7.5'
