E. Ingraham Co. Gingerbread Mantel Clock, circa 1875 Professionally restored oak case with eight day brass movement. The door glass features a patriotic theme with American eagle and flags. The dial is original and includes the name of the E. Ingraham Co. in Bristol Ct. 23 inches tall x 15 inches wide. Mint restored condition. Good running and striking operation. Dealers comments: Fancy oak clocks were made in abundance during the latter part of the 19th Century. Embossed with elaborate designs using a steam press the clocks became known as Gingerbread clocks.The case has been professionally cleaned and the finish renewed nicely.
