English Cottage Tallcase Golden Oak Country Clock, circa 1815 Golden Oak case with mahogany cross banding, has lovely mellow patina, The case has had very little restoration work. Original keyhole escution and paterae. Square painted dial and swan neck pediment. Painted 12 inch dial by well known dial makers, Walker and Hughes. Restoration included cleaning and re-touching of dial, there is evidence of old restoration to the date dial. The 30 hour movement striking on a bell by Dalman, Newark, England. Movement has been cleaned and having been found in a deteriorated condition, has been restored to full working order in our own workshop. Case has been cleaned and hand waxed. Height 79 inch to top of swan neck pediment. Shipping Costs to United States costs approx. 600 USD depending upon location.
