Fine Rosewood Regulator Wall Clock, circa 1830 A very fine rosewood wall regulator with extensive brass inlay.This clock has highly detailed scroll work and stringing all over the figured rosewood veneer case. This clock was made in Moscow, Russia by a French immigrant clockmaker. Very few of this type of clock exist as Russia was a poor country.There is incredible detail right down to the fret work brass pulleys.It is a well built 8 day thick brass movement which has all the earmarks of being handmade by a true craftsman. The 12 " painted dial with applied enamel cartouche. The clock has blue steel hands and sweep second hand. Each dial cartouche is blue and white enamel of an unusual shape with a finely detailed gilt embossed mount. The gilt bezel has nine circular rows of intricate design embossed into metal. The clock has a large seconds beat gridiron pendulum with beat adjustment bracket and other decretive mounts. A distinctive regulator of large proportions. The dimensions of this clock are 72 " x 21 " x 9 ". Running duration 8 Days
