Catalog Description: Mixed lot: C.1850, a cute German wall case with an Austrian 2- day spring movement adapted to the case. If you set the movement back where it can impulse the pendulum and reach the gong, it is an inch from the front glass. Seems to tick and strike OK, but the winding stops are missing from the back plate. The case top trim is maybe 40 years old, made to fit and looks OK, but not of proper style. So there you have it: an extra good looking clock with improper restorations. Height 30' |
