Catalog Description:

C.1840, Forestville Mfg. Co. 8-day Column shelf clock Bristol, CT 8-day Column and Cornice clock. The case is beautifully veneered with only a few chips along the bottom and a small piece missing on the left side of the cornice. All three glasses are original with the middle glass showing an elephant with rider (unfortunately with single crack). The lower glass has some paint loss in the blue field and the middle glass suffers loss of paint in the field surrounding the elephant picture. The dial and lyre movement are signed (black is strengthened on dial). The label is in nice condition and the hands are original. A great example of this style of clock case. Height 32"
