Catalog Description:

C.1854, Forestville Hardware and Clock Co. shelf clock Forestville (Bristol), CT. Miniature Steeple. This is the smallest American steeple clock made without finials. The mahogany and rosewood veneered case is in very condition with only a small piece of veneer missing on the right base and another chip (stained in) on lower left door. The original dial has been painted outside the chapter ring, with some touch-up inside as well. The upper glass appears original and the lower is a replacement, but is old glass and of the appropriate type. The label is perfect and the 30-hour movement is in GRO. A rare and highly collectable clock. Height 12"
