C.1890, Boston Clock Co., balloon shelf clock Boston, balloon shaped clock, tandem wind, time and strike, serial number 8042, in very good original condition. This mahogany case is of excellent quality, with inlay on both the front and sides, and heavy cast brass feet; there are 3 minor dings on the front, along the right edge. Strike the hours on a French style gong. The porcelain dial is very good, and with F/S regulation above 12. The clock is running but would benefit from service. An uncommon clock to find in such nice condition. Height 12"
