Catalog Description: C.1890, German, Miniature 8-day Spring regulator wall clock in an interesting case with cast brass faAade and door, the brass casting with the seal of "Mayer" and the number 9150. The porcelain dial is good; the hour hand with a solder repair; minute hand OK. Note one tooth of the escape wheel must be slightly bent, as the clock will run for 2 minutes, but always stops just as it goes out of beat. These tiny little movements have a total of 7 wheels to achieve a weeks duration out of a 5" pendulum. See also lot 397. Height 16" |
