Antique Ithaca "No. 1 Regulator" Model Clock Price Type: auction |
|
Catalog Description: C.1884, Ithaca Calendar Clock Co. "No. 1 Regulator" wall clock New York, in excellent restored condition. This is the very clock pictured in Tran Ly's yellow calendar clock book. Mr. Rappaport acquired the clock from John Tanner. The bottom carvings on the clock were copied from an original by Mr. Erhard Trapp in California, as was the dial mask (nice job). The calendar dial is original and untouched, nicely aged; the time dial appears to be re-blacked. Roller covers, hands and pendulum are original. The movement, case top and bottom are all shown in detail in the Ly book. This is a weight driven clock, and with fully perpetual calendar, meter pendulum and center sweep seconds. In original condition, we would have expected this clock to bring $15,000. Height 72" |
