France Shelf Mystery Swinging Arm Figural

Catalog Description:

C.1890, French, Patinated Spelter, Swinging mystery shelf clock timepiece in excellent condition, with some restoration. The suspension yoke has been replaced (well done by someone who didn't have an old example, and the numeral 3 poorly repaired. The statue of La Nuit (The NIGHT, by Kossowski), is in very good original condition, and the ball retains the original dealer's name (L. Virol, Horologer, Duras) albeit weakly visible, and also with 24 hour indications inside the Roman numerals. BUT the best part is that this is an original Striking Swing arm, with original movement intact (see detail image). Runs and strikes. Height 32"
