Waterbury Clock Company Regulator No. 17

Catalog Description:

C.1893, Waterbury Clock Co., "Regulator No. 17" wall clock in good restored condition. The major item missing from this clock is a 12" round dial mask (see either of Tran Ly's Waterbury books). The case has been refinished and the lower front apron (4") has been replaced (nicely carved). An old chip on the right end of the base molding has been glued crooked and needs to be removed and dealt with by a professional. The 12" painted dial appears original to the clock; hands have been brushed with gloss black paint that could be removed. Retains original pendulum, beat scale, key lock on door and case hardware. A good cabinet maker can bring this hard to find model up to par. Ly values this clock at $3200 if original; our estimate reflects condition. Clean and running. Height 56"
