Smith and Brothers

Catalog Description:

C.1841 Smith and Brothers, 7 Bowery, New York 8-Day OG shelf clock This oversized OG was originally made to take a wooden movement but was never used for that purpose. The clock has a rare 8-day Kirk's Patent cast-iron backplate, rack-striking movement with original brass springs housed in full cast-iron cups. The case is beautifully veneered as was typical of OG clocks made during this period. The dial is original and the label is in very nice condition. The case has been refinished. The lower mirror, hands and the knob are replacements. A rare and highly collectable clock, restored and ready to enjoy. Height 31 inches
