Pillar and scroll mantle clock circa 1825 This clock, made by the firm of E. Terry and Sons in Plymouth, Connecticut. On the back of the clock's dial are repair notes entered through the years and Elias Blosser's inscription is first among these notes.Clock repairmen often signed the back of the wood dials of the clocks they cleaned and repaired to maintain a record of when this was completed. This clock retains its original, colorful flower- painted dial. The professionally restored, reverse painted lower door glass. The three brass finials are old replacements and the wood movement is complete and runs well...with some occasional stops...as is often the case with wood works clocks Dimensions:32" tall by 17" wide. Condition:Very Good; original case finish; colorful wood dial; complete wood works; running and striking. Materials:Mahogany veneer case; hard wood works' hand-painted wood dial.
