Wood Works Mantle Clock c. 1825 Dimensions:30 inches tall by 17" wide. Maker/Mfgr./Author/Artist:Seth Thomas, Plymouth, Connecticut. Condition:Excellent-100 percent original with crack in lower door glass. Circa:ca 1825. Materials:Mahogany Veneer case with wood works and reverse painted lower door glass; carved paw feet. Description:This particular beauty has carved paw feet and is 100 percent original in every way. The columns and splat retain most of their original stenciling (see photographs), and a colorful wood dial.There is a crack across the lower glass (see picture) which some would replace with a modern reproduction. The label inside the case (see photograph) is clean and retains the name of the maker- Seth Thomas, Plymouth, Connecticut- and the printed instructions to the owner of the clock.
