German Wall Regulator c. 1920 Dimensions:31 1/2" tall by 16" wide Maker/Mfgr./Author/Artist:Gustav Becker-Braunau-Bohemia Condition:Excellent. Circa:1920 Materials:Walnut case with brass embellishments; brass movement; fully ornamented and styled dial; porcelain pendulum with cherubs. Description:The reputation of the 19th Century clockmaking firm founded by Gustav Becker stands proudly as one of Germany's finest makers of quality clocks. This clock was made in the Becker factory in Braunau-Bohemia of the former Austrian Danube Federation. It is now Czechoslovokia. Small missing piece of the side molding EXCELLENT condition. The movement has just been through the clock shop for cleaning. The ornamented dial bears the name of the German jewelery store or clock shop where it was first sold around 1920. The pendulum has a porcelain inset with cherubs the surrounding pendulum bezel is an ornate bronzed figural delight.
