France Shelf Mystery Swinging Arm Figural

Catalog Description:

Large French swinging arm mystery clock, or to us, "Swinger", ca 1890. This oversized piece stands 42 inches high and 11 inches wide at the marble base, and a 12 inch wing span on the statue. The statue is marked "Le Progress par Bruchon", on a plaque, and is signed "Bruchon" on the statue. This mystery clock is in excellent condition, having had the movement recently serviced. 6 inch ball has the original finish which is a very dark green. There is nothing that would indicate any repairs, new parts, etc. The statues with wings always seem to command the biggest prices. This statue has been professionally refinished in a Verde bronze color, which is antique bronze to a golden bronze.
