Jerome and Company

Catalog Description:

Jerome & Co. New Haven, Conn. Ca 1845. 8 day movement strikes hours on a coil gong, and is running. The old dial has a professional repaint job, and may not be original to this case. Jerome was an innovator and tried many different ways to make his clocks desirable. This one has a perfect "gutta purcha" front, behind the door glass. Full blue Jerome label on the back of the gutta purcha piece. 15 inch mahogany veneer case has some ebony paint around the glass and the base. The case has been beautifully maintained and is a model we seldom see. Again he put the paper covering on the backboard.

The Antique Clocks Price Guide database contains actual sales information about this piece and more than 20,000 other antique clocks. Most records tell you what it sold for at auction and where it was sold. Some records tell you the price that retail dealers are asking for this or similar clocks.
