Catalog Description:

French bronze mantle clock with heavy ornamentation, lions, spires, and other cast figures. The bronze case has a copper cast showing in some places, and gold gilt over the copper, but is very attractive as it is. The heavy case is 16 3/4 inches high. Typical round French movement, bell strike, outside count, and signed, "Japy Freres", and "A.1.". The movement and pendulum are marked "11475". Porcelain dial ring with some insignificant hairlines, fancy bronze inner dial, beveled glass on front and back doors.
