Germany Wall Vienna

Catalog Description:

German Vienna 2 weight regulator, unsigned movement but a special Vienna none the less. Note the unusual carved, fluted, and turned columns, graceful tail and finials. The top as usual is slightly suspect but it fits perfectly with no extra holes. If it is a new top the craftsman made the finials to match the one on the base. Great 2 piece porcelain dial, seconds hand, fancy brass dial ring, brass weights and pendulum, porcelain beat scale, and 3 good glasses. A large 51 inch high walnut case, cross cut graining on the backboard, burl like veneer on the front The movement has maintaining power, adjustable pallets, and Graham dead beat escapement. This is a pretty old movement. The dial is held to the movement with pins like is used on the French Picture Frame clocks. I have never seen them on a Vienna. Another feature I have never seen are the pointed, adjustable things, on top of the pulleys. What do they adjust? As I said, it is special, and different.
