Gustav Becker 2 weight Vienna regulator, 8-day movement striking half hour and hours on a coil gong, and it is running. The movement has a large trademark inscription of a crown, and serial number SN46266. Gustav Becker used the crown insignia. The name Gustav Becker is not on the movement. It slides into a metal mounting bracket. Similar case styles, ca 1926, are pictured in Ly- "Gustav Becker Clocks". The large walnut veneer case is 50 inches high, matching grain cuts on the backboard, and an original top. Case is clean and not refinished. 2 piece porcelain dial with a seconds subsidiary dial, porcelain beat scale. One never knows if the pair of brass weighs is original to this clock, but they are period.
