Catalog Description:

Ansonia Brass & Copper Co. ca. 1869-1877, using "Terry's Patent Improved Calendar", per the label. Rosewood veneered case is 32 3/4 inches high. Original 11 inch painted zinc dial, properly signed. Month dial also painted on zinc, both very good. The movement is powered by 2 large iron weights. It is 8 day and strikes a coil gong. Excellent full label, identical to that pictured in Ly-Calendar No.12, clock is No.10. The original glass is identical to one pictured in the book, gold and black paint. Clock is running and near perfect except for a little veneer problem on the top rounded edges on the sides. They don't get any nicer to be 140 years old. Ly-AnsoniaNo.123-125.
