Mann and Sohne

Catalog Description:

Mann & Sohne, Germany, ca 1880. An elaborately made wall clock, different from others of this style. Entire box surrounding the movement, unhooks from the backboard and pulls forward and off, much like the hood of a tall clock, allowing easy access to the movement. 8 day movement attaches to a brass slide in bracket, and strikes a coil gong on the half hours. The movement is signed "N.A.N.N." inside a crown trademark. Brass dial, etched inner dial matches the etched pendulum. 42 inch carved case one of the finest we have had.
