A FRENCH EMPIRE STYLE GILT BRONZE AND GLASS MANTEL CLOCK, late 19th century. The circular white enamel clock face with black Roman numerals and maker's mark (illegible) set in a lyre-form case cast with acanthus, anthemeon and rosettes and surmounted by a male mask issuing sun rays flanked by swans holding a floral garland, the rectangular glass base molded with cross-hatched quatrefoils on a leaftip and rosette cast base and four disk feet - 19 5/8 in.
