Catalog Description:

English 8 day tall clock with the original iron painted dial, about 13 inches wide and 18 inches high. The painter used hunting scenes as the motif, hunter and dog in the arch, birds and rabbits in the corners. Seconds dial, 3 quality brass hands, dial signed, "Roberts, Horncastle". There are a few flakes inside the chapter ring, paint holding on the scenes. Case is principally oak, a little mahogany accent trim used very sparingly. Full turned columns on the hood, flat base. Key lock door with key, old iron weights and pendulum, and a brass finial on top. The case is very clean, polished, and ready to put in your best room. 92 inch case, again perfect for modern 8 foot ceilings. 8 day brass movement strikes the hours on an iron bell, and is running and striking. Typical English brass, 2 weight, movement.
