Catalog Description:

French crystal regulator - statue clock. A basic crystal regulator in the middle of a marble case with the faithful watchdog on top. 8 day movement is signed, "Lardot et Boyon, Paris". Running, strikes a hanging gong. Beveled glass on 4 side of the crystal regulator, some with tiny corner chips. Mottled case a mixture of white, grays, and brown shades. 6 full columns, engine turned bronze capitals and bases. 6 bronze, turned feet. 2 jar imitation mercury pendulum. The bronze statue on top makes the clock. Dogs are the most poplar statues used on clocks. Porcelain dial with painted garland of flowers, fancy French hands. Case is 22 inches high and 15 inches wide. Excellent condition.
