Ansonia Melody and Motion

Catalog Description:

Ansonia Clock Co., figural clock, a rare model, "Melody & Motion", ca 1894. This double statue is also very large at 25 1/2 inches wide and 20 1/2 inches high. The metal statues and clock tower are resting on an enameled iron base with metal claw feet. Most of these statue bases have etched designs that are gold filled. This clock is good as new, restored by a true craftsman who is becoming nationally known, Bruce Baziluk. He refinished the metal in a Syrian Bronze color. Movement is 8 day, striking half hours on a gong. Excellent 2 piece porcelain dial, open escapement, heavy beveled glass. Everything is correct and could pass for an original factory product. This model is not only extremely rare but beautiful. This should be a keeper for someone.
