Ansonia Sibyl & Winter

Catalog Description:

Ansonia Clock Co. statue clock, "Sibyl & Winter", a rare combination of base and statue, in the Art Noveau line, ca 1904. The base "Sibyl", is often seen with other statues such as, "Gloria" or "Melody". The statue "Winter" is one of the rare ones. This combination still has the Art Noveau green color on both pieces and holding well. The cherubs and other ornaments on the base have darkened over the years, has never been cleaned. It stands 24 inches high, and is 10 3/4 inches wide at the base. Great porcelain dial, hands, sash, bezel, and beveled glass. 8 day, strikes on a gong, half hours. It has the correct pendulum, back door, and the wood floor underneath. No breaks or repairs, 100% original. Ly-Ansonia No.1499.
