A Brocot and Delettrez

Catalog Description:

French shelf calendar clock by "A. Brocot & Delettrez, Paris". Perpetual calendar in great condition. 15 inch, quarter sawn, oak case with some oak veneer. Cathedral style case, large glass side windows, full back door, cathedral style. Carvings and cathedral styling abound. Signed 8 day movement strikes a bell on half hours and hour. 2 piece porcelain dial, 2 or 3 hairlines in the dial ring and a small chip at 5:30. Heavy beveled glasses. Calendar dial and movement are near perfect. Note the dial has months, day of the week, day of the month dials and hands, as well as moon phase with stars and clouds and blue sky around the moon. This is a lot of clock to be in such a small wood case. We usually see these movements in a big bronze or marble case for $2000 -$5000.
