Catalog Description: French desk calendar clock, ca 1886. 8 day balance wheel movement runs very strong. It takes a 2 prong key like a carriage clock key, one end to wind, one to set hands. There is no key with the clock. Typical metal back cover. Sea serpents abound around the base, ripple like trim on sides, front, and top. Regulate dials with 2 hands, turning knobs at the same time. Presentation inscription on the base, "From M.V.L. 1886". Except for a small fixable edge dent, on top, clock is near perfect. |
