Catalog Description:

Terry & Andrews beehive gothic, 1845-1850. Bristol, CT, 1845-1850. 8 day strike and alarm, strikes a coil gong. Full label, excellent frosted glass-possibly original, very nice original zinc dial, old bob, putty around upper glass. 19 inch mahogany veneer case is perfect except lower part of rounds on each side of the glasses had some repairs made. Lock is original. For reference about this company and this lyre movement, read pages 298-303 of Ken Roberts book, "The Contribution of Joseph Ives to Connecticut Clock Technology, 1810-1862", Revised Second Edition.
