Monitor Clock Works longcase clock, ca. 1900-1930 "Monitor Clock Works, Median, NY". 8 day, 2 weight movement, strikes half hour and hours on a large cathedral gong, running. Case is 6 feet, 7 inches, mission style, appears to be stained mahogany, applied ornaments on top. Brass dial, heavy brass weights and pendulum. Complete label, all original. This company made a wide variety of clock cases and small furniture from 1900-1930. They used very small movements of their own design which they used in tall cased clocks as well as wall clocks. The brass plates were small and had only 3 wheels.
