Catalog Description: "Williams, Orton, Preston's & Co. Farmington, Conn", modified triple decker, ca 1835. Brass 8 day movement has a round front plate, solid back plate, attributed to Silas B. Terry. Clocks with this label and movement were evidently only used in the modified triple decker cases. Strikes on a wire gong. Good wood dial, period weights and pendulum. Brass hands painted black are not period. The mirror is old but held with new putty, bottom glass a replacement, top glass original. 33 inch mahogany veneer case with full turned columns. Case is near perfect, never cleaned, very dark and crusty. Two brass escutcheons and working door locks with an old key.
