Antique Jaeger-LeCoultre Clock Price Type: auction |
|
Catalog Description: C.1969, Swiss, LeCoultre ATMOS, perpetual, never wind mantel timepiece, serial No.259040. This clock was probably used for a short while as there is a little wear to the one corner of the top and a sligHeight amount on the front of the base. There is a brass plaque with this clock (loose, never installed) noting that it was a gift to "Helen Klehm in recognition of more than a quarter century of service to New Departure-Hyatt and General Motors". (all GM vehicles roll on new departure bearings; the plant used to be in Bristol, Conn). Miss Klehm's hire date of 1-18-44 is noted on the carry box. And as an aside, isn't it a shame that single employer careers are almost a thing of the past.? These clocks are still sold today in fine stores for around $2000. Includes original literature and guarantee. Height 9.25" $300-$400 |
