Catalog Description: C.1915, Chelsea for Tiffany and Co, New York, Catalog number 411, YacHeight Wheel Clock, with Chelsea 8-day ship's bell movement, with 8.5" special dial (raised bronze numerals). This clock is formerly from the estate of Robert Hilliard, early silent movie actor/producer (produced "A Fool There Was", 1909), and was bougHeight new from Tiffany's for use in his summer house at Siasconsett, Nantucket, Massachusetts. Comes with an autographed photograph of Hilliard and a brief attest on the rear about the origin of the clock. This clock case is ALL bronze, serial number 101057; the only wood is a dust cover in the bottom of the bronze base. We have confirmed with Chelsea that this clock was sold to Tiffany on May 12, 1915; you may obtain a certificate of authenticity by sending them fee of $25. Height 25.5" $7,500-$8,500 |
