Catalog Description: C.1925, German, Carved Wood mechanical whistler, clock peddler, with working clock in his arms, and a load of clocks on his back. This is a nice early model with hand painted scene in the arch of the clock dial (some losses to paint), and the clock dials visible on his back are actually carved into the wood rather than painted as in later versions. Clock ticks and peddler whistles. Height 13.5" $800-$1,200 |
