Catalog Description:

C.1900, French, Brass Cased Carriage Clock, Petite Sonnerie with alarm in standing column serpentine case with gilt dial mask. Movement marked "Made in France" and numbered 8670; strikes ting tang quarters and repeats with full hours and quarters. Old minute hand does not match the hour hand, but is correct length . Handsome porcelain dials with raised gilt stars and dots, however alarm dial has a chip at 9 (that could be touched up). Beveled glass in perfect condition except for a chips on the edge of top glass under left side of handle. We sold this clock 4 years ago with the original platform, and Dr. Kimball's "restorer" has replaced it with a new Swiss unit. Seems to be running and striking OK. Height 6.5" $500-$800
