H and H

Catalog Description:

C.1910, H and H, 8-day time/strike French banjo shelf clock, in good original condition. The clock has a well made French made movement. The H and H on the movement are initials of the importer in New York. There is a small piece of inlay missing on the throat section. The case retains original finish which has crazed from heat; note hole in throat with glass cover to view pendulum. The porcelain dial has a small chip by the winding hole plus small hairline at 12 (neither is conspicuous) These cosmetic problems are relatively minor and we have gotten as much as $500 for this model. The hands and gilt wood finial appear to be original, as is the unique slender pendulum. Height 20.50" $275-$375
