Catalog Description:

C.1880, Martinot, Paris, 8-day time and strike cast brass cartel clock with musical theme, and in very good condition. The porcelain dial has some damage around the time side winding arbor. The well detailed hands are original. The clock case is marked "Raingo" and has a Japy Freres and Cie movement. The serial number on movement matches the serial number on the case. The heavy brass case suspends from a large wavy bow at top, the central case is surround by two cornucopia with roses spilling out, and between the two are a bugle, trumpet, and violin attached to a tambourine. At the bottom is some spell bound gypsy (perhaps he is the musician?) Height 21" $350-$550
